Students excel at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition 2025

Students of GIIS SMART Campus have delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition 2025, results for which were declared on Nov 3, earning global recognition for their exceptional writing skills and critical thinking. 

Widely regarded as one of the most respected international platforms for young writers, the competition encourages students to explore themes of global relevance while showcasing originality, depth of thought, and powerful storytelling. With participants from across the Commonwealth, the competition offers a truly international stage for emerging voices.

In the 2025 edition, GIIS SMART Campus students rose to the challenge with remarkable creativity and confidence, competing across two categories and securing an impressive total of 24 awards. Their collective achievement included seven Gold Awards, ten Silver Awards, and seven Bronze Awards, reflecting both the breadth and depth of talent across grade levels and curricula.

The Gold Award winners were Shruti Agarwal (CBSE 5), Anaiya Chakraborty (CLSP 6), Shravya Gulla (IB Year 2), Duaa Ahamed Sherief (IB Year 1), Madhu Mithraa Pradeep Kumar (IB Year 2), Dhanya Soundiramourty (CBSE 12), and Mudit (IGCSE 9), each of whom demonstrated exceptional originality and clarity of expression in their essays.

The Silver Awards were secured by Hansika Parthiban (IGCSE 10), Vaishnavi Satheesh Bhat (IGCSE 9), Tharunika Varshni Selvaraj (CBSE 11), Aarth Jain (CBSE 9), Advaith Bharadwaj (IGCSE 9), Ahana Mukherjee (IB Year 2), Abhyuday Jha (CLSP 8), Anagha Rao (CBSE 8), Vedika Bodhankar (IGCSE 10), and Aadhya Agarwal (CLSP 6), whose entries stood out for their insight, structure, and persuasive voice.

The Bronze Award recipients were Naisha Nayyar (IGCSE 9), Mahika Hemani (IGCSE 9), Palakshi Karmakar (IGCSE 9), Chitrita Chattopadhya (CBSE 10), Pritika Chaudhary (IB Year 2), Ian Krish Fernandes (CLSP 7), and Geetisha Agarwal (CLSP 7), each recognised for thoughtful interpretation of the themes and strong narrative engagement.

The students’ dedication to writing and their ability to articulate meaningful and compelling ideas clearly set them apart on this international platform. Their success reflects GIIS SMART Campus’s continued commitment to nurturing confident communicators, critical thinkers, and globally aware learners.
