I wish such a SMART Campus would come to Japan: Kotaro Tamura

Global Schools Foundation Mr Kotaro Tamura was all praises for the new SMART Campus at Punggol which he said went beyond his expectations, and expressed hope that such a campus would come to Japan.

Mr Tamura, who was visiting the premises in June 2018, said the technology-driven, 7-storey campus with its splendid university-style infrastructure impressed him beyond words could express.

"The facilities present at SMART Campus have been designed and implemented with keeping students needs and requirements in mind," he observed. He cited examples of how chairs in the classrooms are adjustable according to students’ height, and desks are customised with knobs for students to hang their school-bags.

When asked on what makes the school unique from other international schools, he remarked that everything from design, curriculum to the way students and staff are treated makes the campus stand out.

Mr Tamura emphasised that features such as Virtual Classrooms and SPEDAS are winning elements that will equip students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.
