Students of CBSE Grade 12 made history today, with 100% securing the first division, with an all-time high average score of 88.1%  for the school.

After months of hard work and dedication, the students were thrilled to receive their final scores online, after the CBSE Board announced the results past 2 pm Singapore time in May 2018.  

Five students got a perfect score of 100 marks in four different subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics and Physical Education, while 52.4% of the cohort scored 90% and above.

“It is great to see new milestones being crossed, as students score excellent results in the CBSE 12,” said Mr Kamal Gupta, Chief Operating Officer of GIIS. “It is great to see the hard work put in by students, teachers and parents converting in such wonderful results.”  

Chaitanya Baranwal topped the Science stream with a remarkable score of 97.8%, while Nandini Shroff topped the Commerce stream with 95.2%.

The five students who had perfect scores were: Chaitanya Baranwal and Rahul Bhattacharjee - who scored 100 in Maths and Chemistry each; Neha Jayachandran - who scored 100 in Maths and Economics;  Neil Shah who scored 100 in Maths and Aditya Nitin Patkar scored 100 in Physical Education. This marks the first time perfect score has been achieved in four subjects.

Reacting to the results, GIIS Queenstown Principal Ms Madhu Khanna said: “The results are a testimony to the school’s phenomenal scores in decisive examinations. It is also a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our teachers who give their all to ensure the success of our students.”

The cohort scored an average aggregate of 88.1% against 83.8% in 2017.

“GIIS is dedicated to providing quality education of global standard. The current excellent results are a testimony to that," said Mr Rajeev Katyal, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of GIIS. "As GIIS moves to its new SMART Cmpus at Punggol, the excellence in education will only get enhanced," he added.

A total of 63 students from GIIS’s Class 12 appeared for the examinations. Post-release of the examination results, students will proceed to apply for further studies in leading universities around the globe. Our graduates have gone on to pursue their education in prestigious universities.

This year’s CBSE results exhibits GIIS’s dedication in imparting an excellent learning environment for our students to excel and to be all-rounded achievers.
