Students of CBSE YR 12 and IB YR 2 began their new semester in the SMART Campus in June 2018, amid fanfare and excitement.
Arriving in groups with friends and teachers, the students gathered for a short welcome session which was held by principal Melissa Maria, who addressed them on the new facilities and benefits of the Campus where they will spend their next eight months before graduating.
The students also had an interactive session with GIIS Deputy Chief Operating Officer Mr Rajeev Katyal, who engaged with them through a talk on all the facilities available in the campus. Mr Katyal told them about the more than 90 classrooms, 3 multipurpose halls, over 40 labs in the school which has the capacity to house nearly 4000 students.
Excited students were also told about the wi-fi system, the classroom furniture and other facilities included especially for them - like the Learning Commons and Student Lounges - which would help them in collaborative work.
Students were also given sweets for sweet beginnings in the new campus.
