October at GIIS Nagpur was a month to shape students into responsible, caring, and compassionate global citizens

Dear Esteemed Parents,

Festive greetings from GIIS, Nagpur!

As we reflect on the beautiful tapestry of October events at Global Indian International School (GIIS) Lawa, it is heartening to see the profound impact these moments have had on our students. The month began with our Gandhi Jayanti celebration, a poignant reminder of Mahatma Gandhi's timeless legacy. It was a time of unity, with students and esteemed guests coming together to honour Gandhiji's principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity. Beyond honouring a great leader, this event instilled vital values in our students, inspiring them to contribute to a more compassionate and harmonious world.

Happiness Week was an exceptional initiative that focused on mental well-being and positivity. Our students actively engaged in happiness challenges and a thought-provoking quiz that heightened their awareness of emotional health. It fostered stronger community bonds and underscored the importance of giving back. These lessons will serve our students well as they navigate life's complexities.

The Navaratri celebration was an enlightening journey into the tapestry of Indian culture, introducing our young learners to the richness of cultural diversity. Through Garba dancing, traditional attire, games, and devotional songs, they learned the value of unity amidst diversity, a skill essential in our globalized society.

Daan Utsav, the Festival of Giving, was a heartwarming experience for our students. It underscored the profound impact of compassion and empathy as they actively participated in a donation drive, understanding the significance of extending help to those in need.

Finally, our tree plantation drive and the Peace Poster Design initiative instilled in our students an awareness of environmental responsibility. They realized their role in preserving our planet, showcasing the collective power of action and the contribution each student makes in building a sustainable future.

In essence, October at GIIS was a month of valuable life lessons in compassion, empathy, cultural diversity, happiness, and environmental stewardship. These experiences showcase our efforts towards shaping our students into responsible, caring, and compassionate global citizens.

With warm regards,
