What is EduTrust Certification? The EduTrust Certification scheme is a voluntary certification scheme for private education institutes in Singapore, administered by CPE, a statutory board under the Ministry of Education. The scheme provides a means for better private education institutions to differentiate themselves as having achieved higher standards in key areas of management and provision of educational services. We are happy to share that Global Indian International School in Singapore has been awarded a 4-year EduTrust certification (Period: 10-09-2012 to 09-09-2016) by the Council of Private Education (CPE). Achievement of a 4-year certification is testament to GIIS compliance with the regulatory framework established for Private Education Institutions (PEIs) in Singapore. The certification also validates the schools strong academic system and high quality standards in delivery of learning programmes.

To put this achievement in perspective, GIIS is the first International School offering the Indian curriculum in Singapore to receive a 4-year EduTrust Certification. In order to be awarded an EduTrust certification, PEIs are assessed on the following six major components:

• Management commitment and responsibilities
• Corporate governance and administration
• External recruitment agents
• Student protection and support services
• Academic processes and assessment of students
• Quality assurance, monitoring and results
  

CPE was established on December 1, 2009, under the Private Education Act 2009, in order to regulate the private education sector in Singapore. All PEIs are required to comply with regulations under the Act, which was primarily effected to protect the interests of international students studying in Singapore.
