On April 23, GIIS East Coast Campus celebrated the prestigious Global Schools Awards (GSA) — an evening dedicated to recognising student excellence across academics, sports, co-curriculars, and holistic development.

The event was graced by renowned theatre artist Ms Tania Mukherjee as Guest of Honour, and Mr Dilipa Rout as the Spotlight Guest, both of whom added grace and inspiration to the ceremony.

The evening began with a dance performance by students that set an uplifting tone for what followed — an emotionally resonant tribute to perseverance, talent, and ambition. Awards were presented across five distinguished categories:

• Justice C.S. Dharmadhikari Award for Co-Curricular Excellence
• Chandu Borde Award for Sports Excellence
• Subject Proficiency Award
• Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for Academic Proficiency
• GSF President’s Award for All-Round Excellence

A standout moment of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Global FUTURE-READY Merit Scholarship to two exceptional students — Arth Mishra and Vedant Nauni of IGCSE 9 — whose academic brilliance and well-rounded excellence were celebrated with heartfelt applause.

Under the thoughtful leadership of Principal Ms Deepika Sodhi, the ceremony unfolded seamlessly, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and recognising student potential in every form.

As students posed proudly with their awards and shared joyful moments with their families, the evening closed with light refreshments and a strong sense of community, gratitude, and inspiration.
