The first edition of Qutuhal InnovateX Grand Tech Innovation Show & Awards 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion, celebrating youth-driven innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship across the UAE and GCC. Organized by the Global Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (GCIE) at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Dubai, the month-long event ran from 25th August to 27th September 2025, bringing together thousands of students from Grades 1 to 12 to showcase their skills in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and App Development.
Far more than a competition, Qutuhal InnovateX emerged as a movement of young changemakers, transforming classrooms into innovation labs and turning ideas into prototypes that address real-world challenges.
From the first week, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students engaged in structured, theme-based explorations:
- Week 1: Decode Data – Students became data detectives, collecting, organizing, and interpreting information from their surroundings.
- Week 2: AI Innovation – Participants explored Artificial Intelligence by building chatbots, image recognizers, and AI-based games.
- Week 3: App Design Sprint – Young innovators turned ideas into interactive apps with real-world applications.
- Week 4: Integration Challenge – The final week merged data, AI, and apps into cohesive projects, culminating in presentations to a panel of judges.
Each week fostered learning, creativity, and collaboration, culminating in a Grand Tech Innovation Show & Awards on 27th September 2025 at the GIIS Dubai campus. The event transformed the campus into a vibrant tech carnival, with exhibition floors showcasing robotic models, AI-powered apps, data dashboards, and IoT prototypes. Students also interacted with cutting-edge tools through vendor exhibitions, enhancing their practical knowledge.
The event featured the Leadership Lecture Series, where global thought leaders inspired students to pursue careers in technology, research, and entrepreneurship. Participation from leading schools such as JSS Private School Dubai, Ambassador School Sharjah, MPS Abu Dhabi, Emirates American School Sharjah, and Our Own English High School Dubai added immense diversity and dynamism to the showcase.
The awards featured a distinguished panel of judges, who praised the ingenuity, confidence, and problem-solving abilities of the young participants.
