In a remarkable display of intellect and diplomacy, five students from GIIS Dubai participated in an inter-school Model United Nations (MUN) conference. The prestigious event brought together young minds from various educational institutions to engage in diplomatic discourse, hone their public speaking skills, and collaborate on global issues.
The delegation from GIIS Dubai, comprising students from Grades 11 and 12, showcased their abilities and dedication throughout the conference. Their preparation for the event was meticulous, involving weeks of research, practice sessions, and mock debates under the guidance of their faculty advisor.
The conference simulated the workings of the United Nations, with students representing different countries and deliberating on pressing international issues such as climate change, global health crises, and economic inequalities. Each participant was tasked with drafting position papers, presenting their country's stance, and engaging in negotiations to formulate resolutions.
Grade 12’s Chandrini Roy exceptional performance was a highlight of the event where she bagged 1st position in Best POSITION PAPER category. This event aligns perfectly with our school's commitment to providing holistic education and fostering global citizenship among our students.
