Students of GIIS Whitefield Secure Multiple Wins at RWCC 2021 bringing laurels to the school

RWCC is back with this year’s theme- ‘RISE as Leaders of Tomorrow”. Like every year, we were super excited to participate in the unique competitions organized under this event that provide our children abundant opportunities to hone their talents. Our students not only gave a strong competition to their peers but also secured many positions, adding to the school’s glory. We take immense pride in contributing towards the holistic development of our child prodigies and promise to continue providing them with the most conducive learning environment.

RWCC (Real World Challenges Convention) is a unique event organized across all the GIIS Campuses to help students come together and brainstorm over the issues prevailing around the globe and also find their solutions. Since GIIS strives to develop its students into global leaders demonstrating Respect, Integrity, Skill, and Empathy, the RWCC event is a great step aiding towards the fulfillment of this goal. It brings communities together and involves students in healthy competitions so that they explore diverse realms and brush their skills apart from academics too.

This RWCC was quite special for GIIS Whitefield as it marked the booming success of students and teachers in many competitions. Three of our Middle school students- Sai Charith, Sanjula, and Parvathy Nair delivered a melodious masterpiece that bestowed them with 2nd place in OPUS, a lyrical/musical competition.

Tanishq Nair, Ishaan Dua, and Pradhyuman Goel bagged 2nd position in the Adzapp video-making competition, while Prithvi Singh, Joshua Dayanand, and Tanishq Nair won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Live it! Click it! Share it! - a photography contest encouraging acts of kindness.

Kashish Fatima and Shivani Jayanthan were able to seize 1st and 3rd prize in Perspective Matters Competition under Middle school and secondary segment respectively.

Transformation Turncoat was a unique competition where students showcased exceptional speaking and presentation skills. Our student- Amrita Shiv Shankar blew everyone’s mind with her flawless speech and presence of mind and secured 1st position under the Middle School category.

Innovative Social and Commercial Entrepreneurship Challenge was organised to provide a platform for entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Participants from various GIIS Campuses showcased their business plans, entrepreneurial talents and explained the importance of social businesses. Three of our students- Ashwin Shivshankar, Arjun Srikanth, and Praneeth Reddy joined forces to come up with an out-of-the-box business plan that fetched them 2nd position in the competition.

Yuvraj Singh and Supreeth Reddy from Grade 9 actively engaged in Student conference attended by their fellow future leaders and discussed burning topics on behalf of the first, second, and third world countries. With their exceptional presentation skills and knowledge through extensive research, they secured 3rd position in the conference.

Teachers of GIIS Whitefield are not less than anyone as Ms. Aradhana, Mr.Kausar Kazmi, Ms. Neha Ahuja, Ms.Sriparna, and Ms.Laxmi proved this to be true through their Quality Circle Presentation in which they won 3rd place. Kashish Fatima, Asith Kumar, Ayush Madhav, Harshith, and Pushpanjali from Grade 9 were also able to finish at 2nd position in the same competition under students set.

Another teacher’s achievement at RWCC was recorded by Simmi R Kumar and Neha Nair. Both of these teachers bagged 1st prize in Teacher’s Perspective contest under Art and Essay categories respectively.

In conclusion, GIIS Whitefield’s star teachers & students shone brightly in the RWCC competitions and amazed everyone with their talents. Looking at the massive success achieved this year, we already can’t wait for the next year’s RWCC event to commence.
