Leadership, responsibility, and the spirit of service took centre stage as GIIS Whitefield hosted its Investiture Ceremony 2025, a momentous event that marked the formal appointment of the new Student Council for the academic year 2025-26.
Held with great honour and enthusiasm, the ceremony was graced by Major General Nitin Indurkar as the Guest of Honour. In his inspiring address, Major General Indurkar shared valuable insights on discipline, humility, and the courage it takes to lead by example. His presence brought a strong message to the young leaders — that true leadership is not about command, but about character, consistency, and compassion.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn lamp-lighting, followed by the formal presentation of sashes and badges to the newly elected council members. It was a proud moment for students, parents, and faculty as the student leaders stood tall, ready to take on their responsibilities with integrity and vision.

Each student leader took a pledge to uphold the values of the school and serve as role models for their peers. Their roles symbolise more than just titles — they represent the trust placed in them to lead with empathy, accountability, and purpose.
Principal Manoj Kumar Tiwari, in his congratulatory note, expressed confidence in the newly elected council. “Leadership at GIIS is nurtured with values. We believe in empowering students to think independently, act responsibly, and lead with compassion.”
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, bringing everyone together in a moment of reflection and unity.
At GIIS Whitefield, the Investiture Ceremony is more than a tradition — it is a reaffirmation of our belief in student-led growth and character-building. As our student leaders begin their journey, they carry with them not just sashes and badges but the collective hopes of a community that believes in leadership grounded in service and integrity.
