
GIIS Whitefield recently conducted an exciting inter-school quiz competition “WIZQUEST 1.0”. The event was a huge success as it saw participation of 21 teams from various schools in Bangalore. The quiz master Berty Ashley, senior research scientist aced the show with his knowledge and wit. Our campus buzzed with excitement as the quiz master made the atmosphere exciting with his presence and engagement activities.
The event started with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by the heartwarming felicitation of Quiz master Berty Ashley by GIIS Whitefield Principal - Mr Manoj Kumar Tiwari. Prelims were conducted first with a series of questions; the questions were displayed on the screen onstage. Mr Berty Ashley introduced the questions to the students in an interesting way. He included exciting videos between the slides, adding excitement and anticipation to the day. The audience which consisted of our students, parents and staff was thoroughly enjoyed the quiz. They were thrilled and eager to prompt answers to the questions asked during the quiz. Post completion of the prelim round, the audience enjoyed a delightful musical feast.
From the prelims, Mr Berty selected the top 8 teams for the final round; they were called on stage basis their scorecard. The quiz master had arranged an interesting round for the Top 8 teams and a fun round for the audience, engaging them brilliantly. The competition saw massive participation from the audience as well.
Sukrut Deshpande from grade 8, Ruchira G and Shanaya Bajaj from grade 9 represented the Basil Woods International School and emerged as the winners. Prajan Karthick, Hrithwik Mathan Sankar and Krishna Singh from grade 10 representing the Harvest International School clinched the second prize. Vibgyor School received the third prize in the competition with Sabaresh, Agrim and Samarth from grade 8 representing the school at this one-of-a-kind inter-school competition.
Winners and the participants of the final round received exciting prizes and certificates. Meanwhile, all the participants received a certificate of participation. The programme concluded on a positive note, with Berty expressing his gratitude to the management and commending the organising committee at GIIS Whitefield for their efforts and coordination.
