GIIS Whitefield recently hosted a Special Assembly that brought together students, teachers, and parents in an engaging and meaningful celebration of water conservation. The assembly was designed to highlight the importance of water and explore creative ways to save this vital resource, inspiring the entire school community to adopt sustainable practices.

The program began with a lively skit, in which children demonstrated small, practical actions that can help save water in daily life. This was followed by a melodious choir performance, where students sang soulful songs conveying messages of water conservation and encouraging families to participate in saving water at home.

A quiz activity involving both parents and students added an interactive element to the assembly, reinforcing learning in a fun and engaging way while encouraging healthy competition and active participation. The event also featured an energetic dance performance, adding colour, vibrancy, and joy to the celebration, capturing the attention and enthusiasm of everyone present.

In the parent activity segment, parents shared their own tips and practical ideas for conserving water, while emphasising the importance of water and sustainable habits. Their presence and active involvement motivated the children and highlighted the power of community participation in spreading awareness.
