Graduation Day celebrated at GIIS Whitefield: Pre-Primary kids take a step forward in their educational journey

“Off to a new journey, wearing tiny sparkly shoes,

They will excel their way forward, in any direction they choose”

The initial years of schooling are extremely crucial for children. These are the years when kids develop fondness and inclination towards specific subjects and dream about their futures. Other than growth and development of mind & body, this time also constitutes one’s most playful and carefree memories.

Pre-Primary is one such phase that plays a decisive role in determining the personalities and interests of kids when they grow up. It marks the beginning of children’s academic journey and molds their attitude towards learning and education. At GIIS Whitefield, we have scrupulously designed our Pre-Primary curriculum that is inspired by Maria Montessori Education. This curriculum is formulated in such a way that it helps children strengthen their foundational cognitive skills.

Our hardworking teachers ensure that every day for the Pre-primary tots is filled with surprises and encourages them to learn something new. Though the little munchkins are up to some mischief every other day, the 19th of this month was of extra essence to them as they were going to graduate the pre-primary segment and take a step further towards entering Primary grade.

Dressed smartly in graduation robes and gowns, the kids were radiating incredible energy. With proud parents sitting by their sides, kids were called onto the virtual stage and handed the graduation certificate. It was indeed a very special occasion for parents and teachers, who put immeasurable efforts into helping the kids reach this milestone. Watching them beam with the pride felt like it was not only the kids graduating that day but also their biggest fans- their parents and teachers graduating with them!

The event was graced by Ms. Vaisahli Borde, the head of GMP (Global Montessori Program), and our beloved Principal Mr. Ashwani Kumar Saxena who spoke at length about the importance of early years in shaping a child’s future and how the teachers and the school play a huge role at this stage. They congratulated the kids on successfully completing their pre-primary chapter and wished them all the best for their future voyage to the unfathomable ocean of learning.
