Good Citizenship Week and the Joy of Giving gesture by the Pre Primary kids

WHITEFIELD, BANGALORE, 18 MARCH, 2020 - Good Citizenship Week at Global Indian International School, Whitefield was celebrated by the youngest members, the Pre Primary kids with many insightful and engaging activities. They were sensitized about the qualities of a good citizen such as respecting others and their property, being honest and trustworthy, following school rules and learning how to be respectful of school property and also to do the best service for the community.

On Day 1, The teachers explained about what is citizenship, characteristics and qualities of good citizens to the children. They were shown a wonderful presentation and also 2 videos to understand the qualities that they can imbibe as a good citizen. On Day 2 , The kids understood their responsibility as a good citizen in the classroom. They did small chores like cleaning the classroom using an old cloth that they brought from home. The idea was to teach them how best to be responsible for the cleanliness in the place where they stay, play or study. On Day 3, 'the Joy of Giving' event was an effort to revive the human values and an opportunity to remind them that our spirit rules over substance. The Pre Primary kids showed their generosity by distributing books, toys and clothes among the children of two schools - Anganwadi School and Govt. Primary school located in Heggondahalli Village. On Day 4, the tiny tots made lovely takeaways like headgear and wrist bands based on the good citizen theme.  This was a great week of learning and honing the kids with the best qualities to become global citizens.?
