
On February 25, 2023, GIIS Whitefield hosted its Annual Day Celebration for Pre-Primary and Grade 1-5. The event was a grand success with two sessions filled with impressive performances and speeches. The first session started with an introduction by the students, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the academic coordinators and principal Ashwani Kumar Saxena. Principal Sir addressed the audience, and then the students from Pre-primary performed dances based on the theme "Utsav, festivals of India." The students from Grade 1&2 showcased their talents based on the theme "GIIS Odyssey – Seven Continents of the World."
The audience was enthralled by the dance performances that depicted festivals like Xmas, Holi, Lohri, Onam, Eid, Diwali, Janamahasthami, and Navarathri. The Headmistress Preetha D Mello delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The second session commenced with the Annual Report by Principal Ashwani Kumar Saxena, where he mentioned the achievements of GIIS and GSF and the newly developed facilities like lawn tennis, cricket pitch, and basketball court. The students then performed dances from different parts of the world, representing the seven continents. The audience was treated to a spectacular group dance that included all the countries, showcasing the diversity and unity of the world.
The event ended with the National Anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of pride and patriotism. The Academic Coordinator, Jyotshna, delivered the final vote of thanks, thanking everyone for their support and cooperation in making the Annual Day Celebration a memorable event. Overall, the Annual Day Celebration of GIIS Whitefield was an enchanting and mesmerizing experience that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
