
An electrifying display of sportsmanship and determination stole the spotlight at The Deens Academy Sports Fest, as GIIS Whitefield’s exceptional young athletes etched their names in gold, silver, and bronze. With an astounding 20 medals combined in athletics and football, the victory was a documentation to the unwavering spirit and teamwork exhibited by our students.
In the U-12 Boys and Girls Category, Naren Karthik (6E) soared to new heights claiming the gold medal in the long jump event. Akshiti Arul (7C) showcased blazing speed, securing a bronze in the 100m sprint, while Ananya Yaragani, Akshita Das, Akshiti Arul, and Amber Anna Joseph formed an unstoppable quartet, bagging the bronze medal in the U-12 Girls 4x100m relay.
The U-14 category witnessed M Hema Aadya (9A) seize the spotlight with a bronze medal in the 100m sprint, followed by an awe-inspiring goldin the 200m. Yadhu Narayana (9C) displayed sheer determination, clinching the coveted goldin the U14 Boys' 400m race. Anushruta Baruah (9D) leapt her way to a bronze medal in Long Jump. The under-14 Girls' 4x100m relay team comprising Hema Aadya, Malavika, Anushruta Baruah, and Natasha D'souza blazed the track with a dazzling gold medal.
In the U- 17 Boys and Girls category, RA Aravindan (9C) proved his mettle with a brilliant gold medal in shot put. Sai Sahasra Badam (12A) added to the glory with a well-deserved silver medal in the 200m sprint. The U-17 Girls 4x100m relay team, composed of Amneet Kaur, Mridula Nagendran, M Hema, Yashvi Khera, and Sai Sahasra, raced their way to a silver medal. Not to be outdone, our under-16 Girls' Football Team demonstrated their prowess, securing a commendable SILVER and establishing themselves as formidable runners-up.
From the resounding cheers on the track to the nail-biting moments on the football field, every participant's dedication shone through.
