GIIS Whitefield lifts the 1st Runner Up Trophy at RWCC 2020 organized by GIIS Singapore

Global Indian International School, Whitefield has bagged the 1st RUNNER UP Trophy at the RWCC 2020 (Real World Challenges Convention Virtual) held in December 2020. The GIIS Real World Challenges Convention is a unique platform that encourages students to network with a host of people and problems, to research on their chosen topic, find solutions, and present the process.

GIIS RWCC aims at bringing together schools from Singapore and other Asian countries to celebrate creativity and sustaining the same in teaching and learning. The theme of this year event was RISE as Leaders of Tomorrow – Demonstrating Respect, Integrity, Skill, Empathy to be Leaders of tomorrow.  

A total of about 820 participants from 14 GIIS campuses took part in various competitions. There were participants from GIIS Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ahmedabad, Balewadi, Whitefield, Bannerghatta, East Coast, Hadapsar, Kuala Lumpur, Noida, Surat, Smart Campus, Tilakwada, and Tokyo. The convention was opened to students of all age groups starting from KG to Grade 12, who actively participated despite the current challenges.

 The competitions included Quality Circle presentations, Transformation Turncoat, Student Conference, Smart Strokes for Young Folks, an Educator’s Perspective, Perspective Matters, Innovative Social & Commercial Entrepreneurship Challenge, Appnovation, A Valuable Bond, Thought Leadership Through Storytelling, Lil Mavericks, AdZapp, OPUS for RISE, Live It Click It Share It.

Dr. Wilson Chew graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour . He is a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Singapore. He leads the strategy team in the Entrepreneurial and Private Clients practice of the firm.

GIIS Whitefield Team has made us proud. The hard work of the students, teachers, and the continuous support of the parents are the reasons for our remarkable success at RWCC 2020.
