GIIS Whitefield, in collaboration with Ashoka University, recently hosted an exciting and highly informative residential summer program for high-school students of 9-12  and their parents. The program offered a certified curriculum, designed to provide students with an interdisciplinary approach to learning and a glimpse into the world of liberal arts and sciences.

Ashoka University, known for its emphasis on academic excellence and innovative teaching methodology, had a representative, Ms. Pranaya Neha David, who gave a comprehensive presentation on the courses offered and encouraged students to register for the Young Scholars Programme 2023 at their university. This program is an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interests and passions and gain valuable insights into different fields of study.

The event was hosted by Ms. Debanjana Gangopadhyay, Special Educator cum Career Counselor, who provided an introduction to the program and also shared its benefits. The program also provided an opportunity for parents to attend the sessions and learn about the university's teaching methodology, campus life, and the application process. Students were able to interact with Ms. Neha, (Deputy Manager, UG Outreach) to gain valuable insights into their fields of interest.

The residential aspect of the program is a unique feature that allows students to experience college life, live in hostel, and participate in extracurricular activities. Students will be able to immerse themselves in various activities, such as sports, music, and drama, that help them develop their personalities and gain confidence.

The collaboration between GIIS Whitefield and Ashoka University has provided a fantastic opportunity for high-school students and parents to explore the world of liberal arts and sciences, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional future.
