 The excitement at GIIS Whitefield Campus continues and it makes me happy to share the numerous events and activities that were conducted for our students during the month of August.

Our star achievers Saahithi Bandlamudi, Mithunkarthi Balamurugan, and Aarav Gupta gave the perfect start to the month by  securing 2nd rank in the HIQ Virtual Science Quiz Competition hosted by GIIS Punggol. The competition was held under the Global Student Exchange Programme 2022 and I congratulate the students on this outstanding achievement.

There is no bigger delight than sharing moments of love and joy with your near and dear ones. Our Primary segment was thrilled to host Family Day and invite their family members to the campus for a memorable fiesta. Participating in enthralling activities and a fun dance session, everyone enjoyed this occasion to the fullest and made sweet memories that they will cherish for a long time.

Coming up next was Peace Day, an annual event celebrated at GIIS to raise awareness among the students about the importance of peace and harmony in today's world and to guide them towards becoming balanced, compassionate, and loving human beings. On this occasion, all the students were encouraged to participate in various activities to and understand how walking on the path of love and sensitivity can lift and transform our world.

At GIIS Whitefield we strive to develop our students into men and women of great values and distinction who will become global leaders of tomorrow. One step in this process is providing them with a chance to shine as leaders and take up major responsibilities of the school as student council members. I’m immensely proud to share that GIIS Whitefield conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the Academic year 2022-23 and appointed a new student council who pledged to dedicate their best efforts to take the school towards greater heights.

15th August- The day India broke the chains of British colonial rule and took a breath in the air of freedom and independence; the day that brought hope and paved the path to the glorious future 75 years back, was celebrated with the same spirit and fervor at our school. From kindergarteners, middle schoolers, and our senior students to teachers, and staff members, everybody was colored in the spirit of independence and pride towards our motherland and paid tribute to those brave hearts who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the great nation we live in proudly today.

Pre Primary tiny tots also celebrated Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi with immeasurable zeal and fervor this year. Dressed in beautiful traditional outfits, the kids participated in many activities like- singing and dancing to religious songs, making Ganpati with clay, storytelling on Krishna's life, and the famous Matki Phod or pot breaking activity that highlighted the significance of this ritual practiced in many parts of India.

GIIS Whitefield was delighted to host an event under GSE on the topic- Galileo’s Inclined Plane Experiment, where students from different GIIS campuses like GIIS Punggol and GIIS Noida participated and presented on the provided topic. I’m elated to share that our dynamic duo from Grade 9- Adit Chawla and Satyam Dokania secured first position in this virtual competition and brought laurels to our school. I appreciate the hardwork and efforts of the winners and congratulate them for their excellent achievement.

Along with all these terrific accomplishments, we had a lot more going on in the busy month of August that has set the right pace for our school. With such a great month, we are excited to unravel the opportunities that the upcoming time holds. My best wishes to all the students. Time to rise and shine.
