The Annual Day of the Pre Primary segment of Global Indian International School, Whitefield, held in February 2020 was truly an ode to being a proud Indian. Atulya Bharat - Incomparable, Incredible and Ingenious India was a larger than life portrayal of our country by all the tiny tots of Nursery, KG 1 and KG 2. The Chief Guests for the event were Wing Commander K Balachandran - who has served for the Indian Air Force for nearly 33 years and Mr. Parshvadeep Singh Rao-the Associate Director-Operations for GIIS campuses in Pune and Bangalore. They graced the occasion by lighting the lamp along with Ms. Preetha D'Mello (Head Mistress, Pre Primary), Dr. Shivananda C S ( Principal), Academic Coordinators - Ms. Jeelu Mary Varghese and Ms. J Anuradha. The Principal and Wing Commander K Balachandran shared their words of wisdom and motivation for the young and talented children of today. They were very inspired to see the increasing passion and the enthusiasm of the children in arts, music and cultural programmes along with academics and sports.

Atulya Bharat was a much awaited event for the parents and they were enthralled by the scintillating performances of all the little children of kindergarten. To summarize the themes, Nursery presented ‘Azaadi’ The Dawn of a New Era to show India shining and rising, K1B portrayed Kisaan aur Khethi with pride, K1A smartly showcased the grit of Our Mighty Armed Forces, K1C gracefully expressed the Poetry of Diverse Languages, K2A shared the essence of Religious Harmony, K2D emphasized the power of Unity & Integrity- One India, K2E gave a spectacular glimpse of our Space Programme, K2C showed the impact of Women Empowerment in society and last but not the least K2B praised the benefits of Digital Age.

The beautiful backdrop videos for every performance, the amazing costumes, matching props and the medley of songs were all in sync with the beautiful theme of Atulya Bharat. The smart comperers were high on energy and gave a great flawless introduction to every performance in English, Kannada and Hindi respectively. All the cherubs were the young angels who helped everyone feel ‘Proud to be part of INDIA’. In the Vote of Thanks Ms. Preetha D’Mello praised the fantastic in-house production by the teachers - for the costume selection, spot on choreography and for the magnificent presentations. The inspiration and motivation by Principal Sir was truly a bliss for everyone. The support of the Admin staff was commendable and worth appreciating.
