The IB Global Conference 2025 (IBGC2025) in Singapore (March 20 - 22) brought together IB educators from the Asia-Pacific region to exchange ideas and strategies for enhancing IB programmes. Centred around the theme “Our Humanity, Connected,” the conference emphasised human-centred education, self-awareness, empathy, and innovation to prepare students for an evolving future.
Key components included pre-conference workshops to develop leadership skills, coordinator forums for IB professionals, and IB staff sessions covering programme updates. Over 100 breakout sessions focused on educational technology, inclusive education, learning strategies, and leadership in IB education.
Representing Global Indian International School, SMART Campus Secondary, Ms. Deepa Chandrasekaran, Ms. Latha Pradeep, and Ms. Nidhi Birla actively engaged in sessions, gaining valuable insights into technology integration, inclusive education, and leadership development. These takeaways will contribute to enhancing IB teaching and learning at GIIS.
The conference reinforced the importance of staying connected as global educators, ensuring students are equipped with the necessary skills and resilience to navigate the future. GIIS’s participation highlights its commitment to continuous professional development and academic excellence in IB education.
