On October 26, 2024, SMART Campus secondary students mesmerised an audience at the OWIS Quantum Arena during their Annual Day celebration themed “Cultural Cascades: Flowing with Time.” This dynamic event showcased the students' talents, creativity, and cultural heritage as they explored traditions and values evolving across generations. Through captivating musical and dance performances, complemented by dramatic presentations, the students beautifully illustrated the connection between water and culture.

The programme began with an introduction to "Cultural Cascades," setting the stage for "Gush of Gaiety"—a spirited musical performance where students captivated the audience with soulful voices and rhythmic beats, reflecting a spirit of inclusiveness. Following this was "Current of Connection," a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak that emphasised the value of human relationships. “Tides of Tradition,” a Gypsy-themed act, further showcased the school's commitment to heritage preservation.

Another highlight was the act Waterways of Wisdom, a dramatic adaptation of Mulan, and The Estuary of Justice, an inspiring rendition of The Merchant of Venice. Both performances highlighted the students’ impressive acting abilities and engagement with complex themes. The Lagoon Legends Hakkan performance combined traditional dance and music with contemporary flair, creating a visual spectacle. Finally, the Grand Finale, Bridging Oceans, united the student body in a vibrant celebration of unity and diversity, leaving the audience spellbound.

SMART Campus Principal, Ms Melissa Maria, welcomed the audience with an inspiring address, acknowledging the dedication of students and teachers in creating an event that beautifully integrated tradition and innovation. Rishabh Jain, a cherished alumnus, also took the stage to share his valuable insights with students. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Ms Ishika Sircar, APAC Head of Contracts at Meta Singapore, who shared her perspective on balancing a legal career with her passion for acting and family life.

As the curtains closed on GIIS Annual Day 2024, the energy, creativity, and passion displayed by each student left an indelible impression on all present. Through this unforgettable event, the students not only showcased their artistic talents but also reminded everyone of the timeless values that connect generations.
