GIIS Bangkok commemorated mother’s day in September 2018, in an inspiring function where they honoured mothers for their immense contribution in child's development.
Students put up a song and dance performance to show their respect for the contribution of mothers to the society by upbringing the younger generation.
Mother's Day is celebrated in Thailand on August 12th, when the entire nation worships the Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, honouring her as the mother of all Thai citizens. Portraits of the Queen adorn all street corners.
GIIS students joined the celebrations, honouring the Queen of Thailand, which was followed by an explanation of the significance of the day.
The celebration concluded with moments full of gratitude where kids kneeled down at their mothers’ feet and gifted them greeting cards designed with the joint effort of the Art & Craft department and students. It was a beautiful ceremony with many heartfelt moments.
