GIIS Bangkok campus echoed with cheer and excitement on December 21st, 2019 as the school community enjoyed Christmas and New Year celebrations. A fete, based on the theme ‘A green Christmas for the Blue Planet” was organised and a lot of activities related to environmental balance and sustainable development were conducted during the day.

Principal, Ms Sopa Sittisruang welcomed parents and guests and our Chairman Mr Suthep Lauhawatana delivered an inspiring speech on sustainability. Parents were gifted with paper bags to reinstate the message of the plastic-less world.

The students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 performed dances showcasing international costumes and festive spirit. The senior grade students took to the mic and hosted the entire event. Interesting game stalls were organised to stimulate the spirit of the students. As usual for all Christmas celebrations, the parents were served amazing Thai and Indian delicacies to add relish to the commemoration. Towards the end, the entire school intoned Carole to prelude the burst and beauty of the new season.

The event was a combined effort of students, parents, teachers, and management.  The preparation started two weeks prior by adorning the premises with Christmas tree and art pieces. It also manifested the spirit of Global Citizenship in GIIS.
