On 5th November 2025, GIIS Thailand came alive with colours, lights, and joy as students and teachers celebrated the beautiful Thai festival of Loy Krathong. The event symbolised gratitude to the water goddess, Phra Mae Khongkha, and the spirit of renewal, harmony, and togetherness.
Students participated enthusiastically in crafting traditional Krathongs using banana leaves, flowers, and candles. The school campus radiated festive charm as students dressed in traditional Thai attire and presented cultural performances, songs, and dances that showcased the essence of Thai heritage.
The highlight of the celebration was the release of Krathongs into the water, creating a serene and enchanting sight of floating lights — a reminder to let go of negativity and make space for new beginnings.
