Bites of Joy, Acts of Giving

GIIS was alive with energy on August 26, 2025, as students came together to participate in a unique and flavorful initiative — the Cook & Sell Activity. The school was divided into three dynamic teams: Street Treats, Choco Pop, and Snack Cart, all of which showed creativity and team spirit in preparing dishes that children love most.

The stalls were filled with options — from sweet to savoury treats — and this replicated the atmosphere of a bustling food carnival. Students prepared, but also marketed and sold their offerings to each other, sampling the experience of entrepreneurship and co-operation for themselves.

What made the day even more special was its purpose: raising funds for a worthy cause. With every purchase, it cumulatively meant more to a larger end, and everyone was reminded that it is small things put together that make a big difference.

The exercise ended on a high, with smiles, full tummies, and a shared feeling of accomplishment. Truly, the Cook & Sell Activity was an unmitigated success, where taste, team spirit, and the spirit of giving came together in harmony.
