Hindi Diwas was celebrated by Global Indian International School with a lot of enthusiasm in January 2019 in collaboration with Indian Embassy and Thammasat University.

The beauty of Hindi language was celebrated through various performances which were conducted in Hindi. There was a wonderful skit performance by Thai Students which eulogised Mother India and its brilliance in accommodating secularism in a democratic set-up. Students displayed spectacular acting skill and confidence on the stage.

There were other performances like Sanskrit Dance and Recitation which established the prominence of Hindi language.

Hindi is the official language of India and the fourth most spoken language of the world in terms of population. In India, the language is on its transformation from Rashtrabhasha (National Language) to Rajabhasha (King of Languages). The potential of Hindi embraces in itself the rich heritage of poetry, literature, customs, and philosophies. Apart from India, the language is said to be famous in countries like Nepal, Singapore, and parts of countries east to India.

By celebrating Hindi Diwas, GIIS Thailand campus made efforts to uplift the international exposure of the language.
