The new session after the summer holidays at GIIS Whitefield, began with a 2-day session in May 2018, for teachers as part of their preparedness process for the Academic Session 2018-19.
Ms. Sunita Jaisingh (Academic Head, GIIS India) and Ms. Vaishali Borde (National Head-Co-scholastics, GIIS India) were present in the campus, to share their knowledge with the teachers. The teachers look forward to this special session each year, as it helps them implement the new strategies effectively in the new session that will benefit GIIS students with enhanced teaching methods.
On day 1, the Pre Primary teachers were part of an interesting session on how to make Music, Theatre and Art – as part of the GMP (Global Montessori Plus) curriculum. The Primary and Secondary teachers were part of a detailed session on how to develop a manual of strategies/ best practices to improve scores in various subjects.
On day 2, Pre Primary, Primary and Secondary teachers were all part of an insightful orientation on GIIS 9 GEMS and the practical application of each GEM during classroom studies. These methodologies of holistic learning have been weaved in GIIS in such a way that students inculcate the qualities naturally, as part of their daily learning in school. This has been meticulously and exclusively planned for GIIS students, in order to nurture them during their school life and equip them to become good global citizens.
The teachers at GIIS Whitefield, Bengaluru, look forward to implementing creative teaching techniques so that students get access to a complete learning manual designed at par with international standards.
