Numbers, focus and determination came together as Samanvi Madhabhaktula of Grade 4A represented GIIS Whitefield at the UCMAS National Level Competition (NLC) held in Mumbai. With around 7,500 participants taking part in the national-level test, Samanvi embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and showcased her growing mental arithmetic abilities.

Her participation in the competition reflects the dedication and consistent effort she has put into developing her skills. Working with the traditional Soroban abacus, Samanvi has been strengthening her mental calculation abilities while developing concentration, memory, speed and problem-solving skills.

Competing at a national-level platform also gave Samanvi an opportunity to put her learning into practice, challenge herself and gain valuable experience beyond the classroom. Such experiences encourage young learners to approach challenges with confidence while nurturing a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning.

Samanvi’s journey reflects GEM 1 – Academic Excellence, one of the key pillars of the 9GEMS pedagogy at GIIS. Through opportunities that encourage students to apply their knowledge, sharpen their thinking and build strong learning habits, GIIS nurtures confident learners who are ready to take on new challenges.
