Growing up comes with many changes, and having the right information can make those changes easier to understand and navigate. Keeping this in focus, the GIIS MOUN Club – Wellness Club organised an awareness session on “Puberty and Menstrual Health” for the girls of Grades 5–12, in collaboration with Brand Side Story.
The session was led by members of the Side Story team, Anubhi and Vanshika, who engaged students in meaningful conversations around puberty, menstrual health, menstrual hygiene, personal care, and the physical and emotional changes that accompany adolescence.
Through an interactive and age-appropriate workshop, students were encouraged to participate openly, ask questions, and clarify their doubts in a comfortable and supportive environment. The session helped build greater awareness of personal well-being while reinforcing the importance of maintaining healthy hygiene practices and approaching puberty and menstruation with confidence and understanding.
More than just an awareness session, the workshop created an opportunity for students to have open conversations about topics that are an important part of growing up. By equipping young learners with knowledge and encouraging them to speak without hesitation, the initiative contributed to creating a more informed, confident, and supportive environment for adolescent well-being.
The session was coordinated by Soma Chakraborty, PGT Psychology and MOUN Club – Wellness Club In-charge, whose efforts helped bring this meaningful initiative to the students.
Through initiatives like these, the MOUN Club – Wellness Club continues to support students beyond academics, fostering awareness, confidence, and responsible choices as they navigate important stages of their growth and development.
