Digital Safety Takes Centre Stage: Grade 9E Inspires Responsible Digital Citizenship

Promoting awareness in today's technology-driven world, Grade 9E presented a meaningful morning assembly on the theme Digital Safety, encouraging students to become responsible and informed digital citizens.

Beginning with the morning prayer, the Thought for the Day, and the school pledge, the assembly set a reflective tone before delving into important topics such as cybersecurity, digital awareness, responsible online behaviour, and the importance of maintaining a healthy balance with social media.

A standout feature of the assembly was the engaging TED Talk-style presentation delivered by four students. Instead of traditional speeches, they interacted with the audience through relatable examples and thought-provoking discussions, making complex topics easier to understand while keeping everyone actively engaged. Their interactive approach highlighted the significance of making safe and mindful choices in the digital space.

Adding to the celebrations, the occasion also witnessed the felicitation of SOF Olympiad achievers from Grades 9 and 10, who were presented with medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding academic accomplishments.

Sharing her thoughts, our respected Vice Principal, Ms. Gunjan Gupta, congratulated the Olympiad winners and appreciated the students and teachers for presenting an assembly that addressed such a relevant and timely topic. She also emphasised the importance of maintaining school hygiene as a reflection of discipline and encouraged students to use social media responsibly, reminding them that digital well-being begins with mindful choices.

Appreciation was further extended by the Segment Coordinator, who commended the students for their confidence, creativity, and collaborative efforts in delivering an impactful presentation.

More than just an assembly, the session served as a valuable learning experience, inspiring students to think critically about their online presence and embrace the principles of responsible digital citizenship. Through meaningful conversations and engaging presentations, Grade 9E successfully reinforced the message that technology should empower us—not control us.
