Victory is not always measured by the final score—it is reflected in the courage to compete, the commitment to improve, and the spirit of teamwork that students carry onto the field. Our young athletes demonstrated all of these qualities through remarkable performances in football and cricket, bringing home well-deserved honours and making the school community proud.
At the GEAR Inter-School Football Tournament, our students showcased determination, teamwork, and true sporting spirit throughout the competition. Their hard work and commitment resulted in two impressive podium finishes, with both teams securing the Under-14 Boys – Runners-Up & Under-16 Girls – Runners-Up positions.
Beyond the trophies and medals, their journey reflects the values that sport instils in young learners. Every match gave them an opportunity to build confidence, demonstrate resilience, support one another, and embrace the importance of discipline and perseverance. These experiences help students develop qualities that extend far beyond the playing field.
The spirit of sporting excellence continued at the Deens Academy Cricket Tournament, where the GIIS Girls Team finished as Runners-Up. The tournament also saw outstanding individual performances from two of our young cricketers.
Garima delivered a stellar performance, scoring 198 runs across six matches and earning the prestigious title of Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. Manasa also stood out with an impressive nine wickets, securing the award for Best Bowler of the Tournament.
From football fields to cricket pitches, these achievements highlight what students can accomplish when talent is supported by dedication, consistency, and confidence. Each game becomes an opportunity to learn, grow, overcome challenges, and celebrate the strength of working together.
Congratulations to our young footballers, cricketers, and their coaches on these wonderful achievements. May they continue to play with passion, compete with confidence, and inspire many more victories in the seasons ahead!
