A September Filled with Learning and Inspiration

Dear Parents,

September has been a month filled with learning, participation and many moments to celebrate. It has been wonderful to see our students step forward with confidence, try new things and make the most of the opportunities around them.

Our classrooms have been full of curiosity and hands-on learning. During Thinking Thursday, our young learners explored simple science experiments and watched concepts such as acid-base reactions and starch testing come to life. Our Grade 2 students also explored different tools used by farmers, electricians, tailors and shopkeepers as part of their STEM Class. Experiences like these help children understand that learning is not limited to textbooks. It is also about observing, asking questions, trying things out and connecting what they learn to the world around them.

September also gave us many reasons to celebrate the achievements of our students. Vismaya Sudhir of Grade 12 Humanities secured Second Prize along with a cash award of ?5,000 at the DQ Labs – Design Hackathon 2026. Her work in the Tangible Product Design category reflected her creativity and ability to turn an idea into a meaningful solution.

Our students also continued to excel in their areas of interest. Samanvi Madhabhaktula of Grade 4A participated in the UCMAS National Level Competition in Mumbai, alongside around 7,500 participants, showcasing her focus and dedication. Grade 6 student Reyansh also made us proud by securing First Prize in the U-12 category at the First Move One-Day Open Rapid Chess Tournament in Mysore and achieving a FIDE Classical Rating of 1852. Eashan Swaroop from CLSP 6 added to our sporting achievements by securing an impressive Third Place at the IAME National Championship in Chennai. These accomplishments reflect the discipline, commitment and perseverance our students bring to their chosen pursuits.

Beyond academics and competitions, our students showed that being a learner also means understanding the world around us. At GED & MCOP 2026, Vian from Grade 9 and Tanishq Nair from Grade 11 Science were recognised with the Outstanding Delegation Award for their confidence, communication and active participation in important global conversations. GIIS Whitefield was also honoured with the Eco Leader Award trophy for 2025, reflecting our continued focus on environmental awareness and responsible action.

Our younger students carried this spirit forward through Eco Showdown, where they expressed their creativity while highlighting the importance of caring for our environment. Vedha Manoj of Grade 4 received a Well Done Commendation, while Devanshi of Grade 4 secured First Prize and Kevin of Grade 3 secured Third Prize in the Painting Category. Their achievements remind us that children can make a difference not only through what they learn, but also through how they express their ideas.

What makes these moments truly special is not only the awards or recognition, but the effort behind them. Every experiment, competition, discussion and creative activity gives our students a chance to learn, grow and become more confident in their abilities.

These experiences beautifully reflect the spirit of our 9GEMS pedagogy, which encourages children to grow in different areas — from academics and skills to sports, creativity, personality development and global awareness. Our aim is to help every child recognise their strengths and give them the confidence to build on them.

As we move ahead, I encourage our students to remain curious, keep asking questions and never be afraid to try something new. I also thank our teachers for creating meaningful learning experiences and our parents for the constant support and encouragement they provide.

Let us continue to work together to help our students learn with joy, grow with confidence and make the most of every opportunity that comes their way.

Warm regards,
Manoj Kumar Tiwari
