Dear Parents,

As we are nearing the end of the academic year, I look back at our students overcoming challenges thrown by the year 2020 and emerging victorious in academic as well as extracurricular excellence. This is a year of hope and delight.

Of many firsts, I was glad to be part of the successful GIIS SMART+ Webinar series where I took part in a live stream for the 3rd episode along with Mr. Graham Brown and Prof. Shu Yamada about students requiring more than just academics to succeed in the real world. 

I believe that a few decades ago, excellence was defined by academic talent and the scale for measuring excellence was mostly the grades one would receive in the classroom. 

Today’s education is the best of both worlds - excellence is measured by innate talent, that exceeds academic output. Through various activities and events, academics and extracurricular, our students strive hard to be the better version of themselves. 

I must thank all teachers and parents for guiding and supporting them every step of the way, be it virtual or in the physical class. We all have learned a lot along the way and hope to continue our learning journey through next term years.
