GIIS Balewadi recently conducted the virtual Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) successfully for pre-primary classes (Nursery, K1, and K2) through a pre-scheduled zoom call. Since it was for the first time that a virtual PTM was conducted, it required a lot of pre-planning. Hence, the parents were informed much in advance on how to connect through the provided Zoom link as per their respective allocated time slots.

During the PTM, the teachers not only gave their feedback to the parents based on their child’s overall performance so far for AY 2020-21, but they also guided them and discussed on how to further improve their child’s performance.

The PTM was a huge success and parents appreciated the teachers' effort in teaching their kids smartly and patiently during the current uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Parents also appreciated the GIIS management for planning and successfully executing the plan of providing uninterrupted education during the ongoing lockdown period. 

Overall, the teachers made all possible efforts to make the virtual Parents Teachers Meeting very similar to the one-to-one meeting which used to happen at the school premises under normal circumstances. During the PTM, the parents and teachers discussed the child's performance and shared their feedback on the basis of the overall performance so far during the current academic year. Apart from this, the teachers were equally concerned about their well-being and constantly emphasized to students to do extra physical activities to maintain their concentration and interest in studies and continue their learning process effectively.

The most acknowledged fact during the PTM was the efforts put in by the teachers in quickly adopting different innovative methods and patterns to teach the students in an effective way, especially the way they made the whole virtual set-up so engaging and interactive through various extra and co-curricular activities and competitions. For these efforts of the teachers, and the hard work put in by all academic coordinators in successfully executing and arranging safe PTM for the parents and students, the parents were seen applauding and praising the GIIS team throughout the PTM session.

Not only this, but they also appreciated the GIIS management for quickly transforming and moving the traditional classrooms into a virtual set up, without any technical glitch or delay. Parents were seen extremely happy with the teachers for their unique initiative and thanked the school management for facilitating virtual connect. They further extended their gratitude towards all hardworking teachers and the non-teaching staff for enabling seamless and smooth transition during these unprecedented times.
