Tiny Tots celebrated Red Colour Day and learned in a fun and interesting way

The pre-primary students of the Global Indian International School (GIIS) Balewadi celebrated Red Colour Day with great enthusiasm on 30th April 2021. The ‘Red Colour Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning experience that further helped children to understand the concept of Primary Colours. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion.

The day started with observing the colour everywhere i.e. red dress, red toys, red soft boards, red teddies, red cars, red cherries, red apples and things they can see around in red at home. A special assembly was also dedicated to lay emphasis on the significance and importance of the red colour.

To mark this day as special, students and the teachers were also dressed in red clothes. As far as activities were concerned, the Nursery class participated in strawberry cotton dabbing activity, whereas K1 students actively participated in making paper rooster and students of K2 were introduced to various shades of red colour such as Maroon while they also participated in magic and vegetable printing activity.

Each of them also got an opportunity to speak about their favourite red object. It was indeed a memorable moment for kids as they enjoyed colouring and printing activity in their own special way. Meanwhile, they also displayed their presentation to their class teachers and explained the process of the activities followed by them.

Furthermore, the Parents also enthusiastically participated along with their respective child by dressing in red colour and enjoyed clicking pictures along with them during the special virtual class.

At last, they also appreciated the efforts of the teachers for conducting such activities by going a step ahead as they too dressed in Red Colour and encouraged the parents for their participation. They assured parents to expect more such activities in the coming days to boost student’s morale during these uncertain times.

Overall, it was a fun and everlasting learning experience for the munchkins.
