The Christmas Carnival at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Balewadi campus was a grand event organized for the students and the parents. The students carried happy and sweet memories of the fun time, before they went for their winter vacations. The entire festive aura was created across the basketball court and the colourful decorations added to the essence of the Christmas festival all around. The Carnival was inaugurated by Mrs. Savinder Kaur Rooprai (The Principal) and Mrs. Vaishali Borde (National Head of Co-Scholastics and Early Years).
There was excitement and joy shining on the faces of students. The sparkling decors in the stalls looked appealing and the creative showcase within the assigned area for each stall offered a grand welcome to one and all. The main attraction of the carnival was the chain of food stalls offering mouth-watering delicacies. The children were naturally inclined to visit every stall out of curiosity. The games stalls offered an array of fun activities for all age groups. A perfect classic carnival ambiance was created by a live guitar band who kept playing mesmerizing Christmas themed music throughout the event.
The smart wonders of GIIS, Balewadi - Pre Primary and Primary students liked the bouncy game that was specially arranged for them. Since the Carnival was organized by the students, this was a wonderful opportunity to learn the basics of entrepreneurship skills and exhibit good managerial qualities, which is one of the important teachings offered by GIIS 9 GEMS model of holistic learning. This is an award winning and unique approach adopted across all GIIS schools worldwide, that offers a dynamic framework aimed at fostering all-round character development in students through an integrated, holistic approach to learning.
The Christmas carnival was a grand success where students displayed active participation in organizing the events with the support of their teachers. The carnival brought together the entire GIIS family at Balewadi campus - the students, the teachers and the parents to share smiles, love and happiness among everyone.
