As part of the colour day celebrations, the pre-primary wing of Global Indian International school celebrated “Brown Colour Day” on 29th Jan 2021. Brown is a colour that evokes relatability, strength and helps us to relate with mother earth. Shades of brown primarily connect us with earth-friendly and natural substances. So, in a process to make pre-primary kids learn about the colour in an engaging and interesting way, our young minds were made to celebrate the brown colour day, during which the little ones were introduced to brown colour objects especially found in nature such as wood, soil, and dried leaves. It was an enjoyable day for the pre-primary kids as all of them were dressed up in brown colour clothes and donned matching accessories while they enjoyed dancing on songs, storytelling, and various other colouring activities based on a brown colour.
They really enjoyed doing various fun activities related to brown colour. During the colouring activity, the little munchkins were surprised to see the magic of mixing colours blue and red to get the brown out of it. The little learner also made brown colour chocolate shake using chocolate, Oreo biscuits, and milk during their virtual classes. It was by all means, a fun-filled day for the kids and they were too excited to drink the shake made by themselves.
This activity helped the kids to develop and enhance their cognitive, creative, and fine motor skills. They also learned about their duties as a responsible citizen and how they can contribute by saving trees and nature. They also pledged to plant more trees.
These engaging activities were truly a great learning experience for them, as they enjoyed doing many tasks along with their classmates during online classes. Teachers were also quite surprised to see children participating so enthusiastically and how they were professionally following all the kitchen rules such as wearing aprons and doing a neat and clean job. The parents appreciated the pre-primary teachers for putting in so much effort in making the learning process so fun-filled and interesting for the kids.
