The Pre-Primary segment of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Smart Campus Balewadi organised a ‘Story Telling Event’ for parents in a very innovative way on 26th June, 21. The event was conducted as a part of the parent engagement activity.

The event witnessed the presence of chief guest Ruchika Dhingra, Head Mistress, GMP Ahmedabad who supported parents by delivering a motivational speech. Sharing her thoughts she said, “ The storytelling session is close to my heart and it helps to develop communication skills and every parent should encourage their child to tell a story on a regular basis be it on a real-life story or any motivational one.”

The event was remarkable as the parents performed extremely well during the special online session. Parents used several hands–made props and decorated the background as per the theme of the story.  It was indeed a wonderful fun-filled and memorable experience for both the parents and the students.

The parents really enjoyed the storytelling session as they presented their story using voice modulation as per the character of the story and displayed their cartoon props, which made it very interesting and engaging for the students.

The objective behind conducting this activity was to make the students understand the value of wisdom our elders have and how each one of us should appreciate that. Such values not only help us in transforming into better human beings but also help in our general lives and work life. It promotes learning and growth, improves social well-being and relationship with others.

The parents too appreciated and thanked the teachers for this unique opportunity given to them. Everyone, including the students, learned a lot from these interesting moral stories. The event concluded with an encouraging and motivational speech by Dr. N.K.P Ashok Raj, Principal, GIIS Balewadi.
