The GMP section at GIIS Balewadi organised an engaging and educational skit on “Pretend Play – Supermarket”, giving K1 and K2 students an exciting opportunity to explore the world of retail through hands-on learning and imaginative role play.

The young learners confidently stepped into various roles, including Store Manager, Security Manager, Cashier, Fruit Seller, Vegetable Seller, Grocery Assistant, Bakery Assistant, Dairy Assistant, School Essentials Assistant, Beauty Products Assistant, Supervisor and Customers. Each child enthusiastically portrayed their character, demonstrating a clear understanding of the responsibilities associated with different roles in a supermarket.

Through the lively skit, the young shoppers showcased how customers select products, how bills are generated and how payments are processed. Their confident performances and natural interactions brought the supermarket experience to life, delighting parents and creating an enjoyable learning environment.

The activity successfully combined learning, creativity and real-life awareness, while helping students strengthen their communication, teamwork and social skills. The enthusiastic participation of the children made the pretend-play experience both meaningful and memorable for everyone present.
