GIIS Balewadi welcomed its Grade 10 students, marking the beginning of a new academic year with an event filled with excitement, inspiration, and camaraderie.

The day commenced with a special welcome as Grade 1 students, dressed in their finest attire, escorted their senior counterparts to the playground. The rhythmic beats of drums added a celebratory touch, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and anticipation.

To set the tone for an engaging and memorable day, the playground was transformed into a hub of fun and interactive stations. Students enthusiastically took part in activities such as Karaoke, Funny Faces, Backward Day, the Positive Affirmation Wall, Mystery Box, Wacky Relay, and the Chill Zone. These activities fostered a sense of unity, joy, and positivity among the students.

The festivities continued the entire morning, followed by a lunch break, allowing students to relax and interact with their peers. Post lunch, the event took on a more formal and insightful turn with the Student Orientation session. Principal Ms. Munmun Chakrabarty, along with the coordinators, subject teachers, a career counsellor, and an educational counsellor, addressed the students. Their speeches provided guidance on academic goals, career prospects, and personal growth, offering valuable direction for the year ahead.

The highlight of the event was the Student Pledge, where Grade 10 students solemnly vowed to maintain discipline, engage in regular studies, show respect to their teachers and school, and strive for academic excellence. This pledge reinforced their commitment to personal and academic development.

The event successfully set a positive and motivated tone for the new academic session, leaving students inspired and eager to embark on their Grade 10 journey with enthusiasm and dedication.
