GIIS Balewadi recently inaugurated its state-of-the-art Montessori Lab Version 2- a dedicated space designed to encourage experiential learning and holistic development among young learners. The momentous occasion was graced by Ms. Vaishali Borde, Head of Co-Scholastics and GMP Programme, and Ms. Munmun Chakraborty, Principal, GIIS Balewadi, who jointly inaugurated the lab with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The upgraded Montessori Lab will provide an environment where children can explore, experiment, and learn through hands-on experiences, nurturing their natural love for discovery. It will build strong foundational skills in math, language, and sensorial development while encouraging independent thinking and problem-solving. The lab will also enhance fine motor skills and concentration through purposeful activities, creating a joyful and engaging space where learning feels like play. With Montessori Lab Version 2, the aim is to bring learning alive and empower children with skills that go beyond classrooms.
The event also witnessed the presence of esteemed guests including Ms. Manjusha Bhosale, Owner of Kidzee Sus and Mahalunge; Ms. Shraddha Bhushan Dusane, Centre Head, Quantum Kidz Preschool, Baner; and Ms. Karishma Jain, who joined in celebrating this milestone.
The inauguration began with a soulful prayer recited by the young Montessori learners, filling the atmosphere with warmth and positivity. Parents accompanied their children, adding a special charm to the celebration.
Following the ceremony, the students presented a range of Montessori activities, confidently showcasing hands-on learning techniques that emphasise independence, exploration, and creativity. Parents were delighted to watch their children engage meaningfully with the Montessori materials, reflecting the true essence of experiential learning.
The event concluded on a joyful and celebratory note, symbolising the beginning of a new chapter in innovative early education at GIIS Balewadi. The Montessori Laboratory stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning in its students.
