Students of Grade 7B at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Balewadi, marked Marathi Rajbhasha Divas with an energetic and culturally enriching special assembly, showcasing the richness and heritage of the Marathi language.
The assembly commenced with a soulful Marathi prayer, followed by an inspiring thought that highlighted the role of language in shaping one’s culture and identity. Students confidently addressed the audience, speaking about the significance of Marathi as the official language of Maharashtra and its deep-rooted connection to the state’s literary and cultural traditions.
Adding depth and creativity to the celebration, students presented a variety of performances, including Marathi poems and self-composed speeches. Traditional art forms such as Gondhal, Bharud, and Abhanga were also beautifully showcased, offering a glimpse into Maharashtra’s cultural legacy.
