As part of its Thinking Thursday initiative, GIIS Balewadi organised an engaging 'Disappearing Penny Experiment' for Nursery students, offering them a fun and interactive introduction to the fascinating world of science.
The hands-on activity sparked curiosity among the young learners as they watched a coin seemingly disappear when viewed through a glass of water. The experiment introduced children to the basic concept of light and demonstrated how objects can appear different when viewed through water.
The enthusiastic participants eagerly observed the experiment, shared their predictions, and discussed their observations, making the session highly interactive and enjoyable. The activity encouraged children to ask questions, think critically, and develop their observation skills in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.
By combining play with scientific exploration, the experiment transformed learning into an exciting journey of discovery. It also nurtured a spirit of inquiry among the students, inspiring them to explore and better understand the world around them.
The Disappearing Penny Experiment was thoroughly enjoyed by all the Nursery students and served as another successful step in GIIS Balewadi's commitment to making learning meaningful, experiential, and enjoyable from an early age.
