GIIS Balewadi proudly celebrated its Investiture Ceremony 2026–27, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council in a dignified ceremony that reinforced the school's commitment to nurturing responsible, confident, and value-driven leaders.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Ms Munmun Chakraborty and the Chief Guest, Dr Vinit Lakshminarayana Rao, a distinguished physician, intensivist, and educator. The occasion also featured the felicitation of the Chief Guest in recognition of his significant contributions to healthcare, medical education, and community service.

Adding to the solemnity of the event, the school choir presented a soulful prayer, followed by a graceful Invocation Dance, seeking divine blessings for the newly elected council members as they embarked on their leadership journey.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the conferring of badges and sashes upon the Student Council members by the Principal and the Chief Guest. The newly inducted student leaders then took the Student Council Oath, pledging to uphold the values and traditions of the school with honesty, integrity, discipline, and dedication. The oath reflected their commitment to lead by example, serve the student community, and discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and humility.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Vinit Lakshminarayana Rao shared valuable insights on leadership, resilience, compassion, and the importance of serving society with commitment and purpose. His inspiring address encouraged the students to embrace every opportunity to make a meaningful impact and lead with empathy and determination.

In her concluding address, Principal Ms. Munmun Chakraborty congratulated the newly elected council members and reminded them that true leadership is not defined by authority, but by the ability to inspire, serve, and uphold the values of the institution.
