GIIS Balewadi has launched the Nikon School of Creativity, made possible through a collaborative initiative between Global Schools Group (GSG) and Nikon India. This innovative programme is set to inspire students by nurturing their creative potential in photography and videography, while building vital 21st-century skills.
The programme offers age-appropriate, hands-on training delivered by certified Nikon professionals. It enables students to sharpen their powers of observation, express themselves visually, and tell compelling stories through the lens—all while building confidence and encouraging creative thinking.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by renowned senior media photographer Mr Parag Jadhav, who was the chief guest. He also conducted an interactive session with students, introducing them to photography basics while encouraging them to see the world from a fresh, creative perspective. His insights and real-life experiences lit a spark of inspiration among the budding photographers.
The event was attended by Principal Ms. Munmun Chakraborty, school coordinators, and a hall full of enthusiastic learners who joined in celebrating this creative milestone.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Munmun Chakraborty, Principal, GIIS Balewadi, said, "At GIIS Balewadi, we believe that education must go beyond textbooks and classrooms to nurture creativity, confidence, and expression. The launch of the Nikon School of Creativity is a step towards empowering our students with skills that blend art and technology."
"Through photography and videography, they will not only learn to observe the world differently but also to tell stories that inspire. We are proud to partner with Nikon India and Global Schools Group in creating this platform for our young learners to explore, imagine, and innovate," she added.
With the launch of the Nikon School of Creativity, GIIS Balewadi aims to nurture visual storytelling skills, fuel artistic expression, and provide students with opportunities to capture moments that go beyond the ordinary.
