GIIS Balewadi celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm, with students of Grades 9 and 10 participating in a series of literary and creative activities organised by the Hindi Language Department. The celebration featured a Special Assembly, a Poetry Recitation Activity and a creative Hindi Diwas Display, highlighting the richness of the Hindi language and its literary and cultural heritage.
The Poetry Recitation Activity provided students with a platform to showcase their talent through poems, sher-o-shayari and rap songs. The participants demonstrated confidence, clear pronunciation, effective voice modulation and expressive presentation. The activity also helped students enhance their communication, public-speaking and presentation skills while encouraging them to explore different forms of literary expression.
As part of the Hindi Diwas Display, students researched renowned Hindi writers and poets and presented their findings through creatively designed posters. The display also featured significant historical facts about the Hindi language, along with motivational messages encouraging its use, appreciation and preservation. The initiative offered students an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Hindi literature while developing their research, creativity and collaborative skills.
A Special Assembly was also conducted to mark the occasion, emphasising the importance of Hindi and its rich literary and cultural legacy. The assembly provided an opportunity to reflect on the language's role in preserving cultural identity and connecting generations.
The celebration offered students a meaningful platform to express themselves, explore their creativity and strengthen their communication and presentation skills. Through these engaging activities, GIIS Balewadi encouraged students to develop a deeper appreciation of Hindi and take pride in its enduring literary and cultural heritage.
