The students of the GMP section at GIIS Balewadi celebrated Red and Maroon Colour Day with great joy and excitement. The vibrant celebration turned into a delightful learning experience for the little learners, helping them explore and recognize the significance of red and maroon colours through a series of engaging activities.
The young students arrived dressed in beautiful red outfits, adding colour and cheer to the school atmosphere. The celebration included fun-filled activities where children tasted red-coloured fruits and learned about different shades of red. They were also introduced to the concept of colour mixing, helping them understand how new colours can be created using red.
The day was filled with smiles and enthusiasm as the children participated wholeheartedly in every activity. Their innocent faces reflected happiness, love, energy, and excitement throughout the celebration.
The main objective of celebrating Red and Maroon Colour Day was to create awareness about the importance and symbolism of these colours while also enhancing the children’s fine motor skills. Teachers introduced the concept through an interactive PowerPoint presentation, explaining that red symbolizes love, energy, life force, spring, and new beginnings.
To make learning more creative and hands-on, teachers decorated the theme board and prepared attractive posters related to the colour theme. Nursery, KG1, and KG2 students also enjoyed a fun sorting game using red-coloured balls, which further strengthened their understanding of the colour in an interactive way.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, teachers gifted each child a cute strawberry-themed bag as a token of love and remembrance. The thoughtful take-away made the day even more memorable for the children.
The colourful celebration not only encouraged creativity and participation among the students but also made learning enjoyable and meaningful for the young minds.
