Dear Parents,
Greetings of the Day
The start of the new academic session brought cheer to the campus with the announcement of the Grade 10 CBSE results. The students of GIIS Balewadi have showcased outstanding academic achievement in the same. Topping the school is Vanshit Kumar, who has scored an impressive 98.40%. Nimisha Dubey has secured the second rank, scoring 98%. Meanwhile, the third rank has been secured by Rishabh Kashyap with 97.80%.
Meanwhile the start of the month witnessed a joyful beginning as the little learners and parents of the GMP section were warmly welcomed with cards, music, and a selfie booth to capture special moments. The excitement continued in classrooms with fun rhyme and dance sessions, along with an engaging puppet storytelling experience.
The pre-primary students had an exciting experience during the Sound Booster Experiment. Using two paper cups connected with a tube and music played through a mobile phone, children observed how sound travels and becomes louder and clearer through the cups and tube. With curious ears and bright smiles, they discovered how cups collect sound and the tube directs it, making the music more amplified and easy to hear. A simple experiment turned into a joyful learning moment, helping them understand the magic of sound in a fun and meaningful way.
Earth Day was celebrated with fun, learning, and awareness. Children explored Earth’s key elements—land, water, air, plants, and the sun—through engaging activities, with teachers dressed as these elements. They learnt about pollution, deforestation, water wastage and performed a creative mime act to show how we can protect our planet
Students from Grades 2 to 10 marked World Book Day with fun and meaningful activities that brought books to life. From the creative 'My Favourite Book Wall' by secondary students to engaging read-aloud sessions for primary learners, every activity sparked curiosity and love for reading. An informative video on World Book Day added to the excitement, making the celebration both enjoyable and inspiring. It was a wonderful day filled with stories, imagination, and the magic of books.
Students of Grades 1 and 2 celebrated Mother’s Day with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From heartfelt handmade cards and fun-filled games to joyful moments at the selfie booth, every activity was designed to make our mothers feel truly special. The celebration was filled with smiles, warmth, and meaningful togetherness, making it a day to cherish forever.
With the summer break knocking, it is time for everyone to relax and rejuvenate as we look forward to the new academic session beginning in June. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our teachers for their support and dedication throughout the year.
Warm Regards,
Ms. Munmun Chakraborty
Principal, GIIS Balewadi
